My on campus classes all meet in computer classrooms in whole or in part. Both online and face to face classes will use Norton ConnectWeb for assignments, essays, feedback, and discussion, and make extensive use of the internet for reading and research. Because the ConnectWeb learning environment is designed primarily for writing and writing-intensive courses, it is ideally suited for our purposes.
This quarter, ConnectWeb licenses will cost twenty dollars for one year of access. Students may purchase their PIN numbers online with a credit card or at the Software Desk in the bookstore. Please note that the bookstore version runs approximately ten dollars higher due to packaging and shipping costs. (If you've already purchased ConnectWeb access this year, you will not have to do so again, but can continue logging in with the same name and password you began with.)
Note: This Web Remains for Archival Purposes Only. I do not update it, and many links are probably no longer active. Please feel free to borrow and adapt assignments, but please do credit me and link back if you wish to borrow word for word or at length. Thanks.

Resources Available on This Web
This web is primarily designed to support student learning, but is also meant to serve as a resource for my teaching colleagues.
On the class pages for this quarter, students will find a full-text copy of the syllabus for their course, as well as links to online resources that support and extend readings and classroom activities. Please also see the Policies section for general advice on attendance, participation, class preparation, and so forth. As the quarter unfolds, class pages will include additional materials, and may also include samples of or links to works composed by students this term.
The "Teaching Portfolio" section offers a brief overview of my education, experience, and recent professional activities, plus a bit of a "behind the scenes" glimpse at some of my favorite interests and pastimes.
Finally, the "Learning Links" section provides information about both on-campus and online resources available to writing students.
Meanwhile, welcome (or welcome back) to College of DuPage. I hope you all enjoyed a healthy, happy holiday break, and I look forward to writing and learning with you this quarter.
